Depending on the company they may disallow the use of your card in a different country than your own. Believe me.....I've been burned on that one a couple of times now.

When you travel a credit card is essential now. To book a hotel room, rent a car, reserve air fare etc. you need a credit card. The list of advantages grows every year as financial underwriters compete for American loyalty in the credit business. The world has gotten better for people with varying credit ratings and credit history in that there are now card options for them too. Gone are the days of plain a simple exclusion due to a bad credit rating. (usually due to unemployment, divorce etc.)
